Winter skincare savers

I know you don’t need me to tell you that skincare is VITAL. It is the single most important part of any beauty regime- and indeed the only one I abide by with any semblance of discipline. In the winter things become much tougher; everything is dry and flaky and the wind doesn’t help.

I spent my youth on a sunny beach wearing little or no sunblock- ah to be young and stupid again!- but I have absolutely learned my lesson. And I am nothing if not unflappably generous with you guys, so here are my top all-time fave skincare bits for the winter.

Step 1- Cleansing

Clarisonic + Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash = all the cleaning you need.

Remove your make-up with your remover of choice, then buzz the dirt away. Cleaning is key when it comes to skincare. The Clarisonic is honestly the best skincare purchase I have ever made, it gently massages all my cares away. It is a little pricey, but it makes me clean my skin everyday and is therefore worth every penny.

As for the Neutrogena wash: it’s a classic. It works. That’s all you need.

Step 2- Moisturising

Ole HenriksenTruth Crème™ Vitamin C Advanced Hydration

In the winter everything is dryer and flakier and just generally more rough. Professor Henrikson has brought us the answer: VITAMIN C. The classic Ole Henriksen Truth Serum is a great bet, but for the winter, I like to step it up a bit with the Advance Hydration BOMB.

Step 3- Body

The best body skincare products I own are actually some of the cheapest. Available at reliable ole Boots: Champney’s Foaming Body Scrub and Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula

Body scrub keeps your skin smooth and gets rid of all the flakiness, while Palmer’s Cocoa Butter is simply the most intense and sweet smelling miracle in all the land.

That’s all you need really. Anything else is just a bonus…..
