Style Icon: Emma Stone

It’s impossible not to love Emma Stone. She’s very warm, funny and talented. She also rocked clashing prints on the Red Carpet for the Oscars 2015 Nominees Luncheon.

Emma was wearing all Michael Kors, and she looked really great- that pink lipstick was an inspired choice when some with less imagination would have gone straight for the red. But of course, the pink works much better with her red hair du jour. 

I also love her little cheeky grin in this picture, like she’s in on some joke you don’t know about. Of course the joke is that she is fabulous, young and at the top of her game rocking stripes and polka dots to a mother-effing Oscars Luncheon. Well played Emma.

Of course, the secret to matching clashing prints is to keep them in complementing hues, and B&W works better than anything. I don’t own any polka-dots and stripes that would go well together, but Emma has inspired me to fill this appalling gap in my wardrobe immediately.
